The Wood and Deer Museum of Mesola is located on the second floor of the Estense Castle.
The exhibitions illustrate, through cartographic documents, the evolution of the territory and its environmental characteristics, including the Grand Mesola Wood and deer of the Dunes
Among the different sections of the museum, it's very interesting that dedicated to the "Mesola's Deer", particular animal because of its genetic, physical appearance and behavior. The exhibition shows the ancient history of this animal whose traces have been found in paleontological and prehistoric settlements.
The museum is a tribute to the area and an invitation to discover the wealth of history, culture, traditions, nature and flavors that it hidden.
